Air Seychelles is the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles.  The airline was established in 1978 offering inter island flight services before it began to operate long-haul service in 1983. As the main driver of tourism in Seychelles, the airline plays a vital role in supporting the Seychelles tourism industry.

Air Seychelles currently offers non-stop international flights between the Seychelles and Abu Dhabi, Antananarivo, Durban, Düsseldorf, Johannesburg, Mauritius, Mumbai and Paris. The airline operates two Airbus A330-200 aircraft on flights to Paris, Dusseldorf and selected Johannesburg, Mauritius and Mumbai flights whilst the two Airbus A320 aircraft operates to, Abu Dhabi, Antananarivo, Durban, Johannesburg, Mauritius and Mumbai.

The airline also operates a young fleet of six modern twin otters DHC6-400 on scheduled services between Mahé and Praslin, home to UNESCO’s National Park and the Coco-de-Mer in Vallée de Mai.  Guests can chose from over 60 daily scheduled domestic departures and enjoy a short 15 minutes scenic flight over the Seychelles inner islands.

The morning and evening banks flight schedule easily connects to the international services arriving and departing from Seychelles International Airport. Charter services are also available upon request throughout the archipelago to islands such as Bird, Denis and D’Arros.

Air Seychelles has codeshare partnership with eight airlines including airberlin, Air France, Air Madagascar, Air Serbia, Alitalia, Etihad Airways, Jet Airways, Niki and South African Airways offering combined passenger and cargo connections to 78 cities in 39 countries across the world.

On 30 March 2017, the airline launched flights to the German city of Düsseldorf its second destination in Europe in addition to upgrading its Paris service on 28 March from three to four flights per week.

The Düsseldorf service is being operated on Thursdays and Sundays from the Seychelles and on Mondays and Sundays from Düsseldorf by a two-class Airbus A330 with 18 seats in Business Class and 236 in Economy Class, providing a total of 1,016 seats to and from the Seychelles each week.

To extend its reach across Germany and further enhance two-way connectivity to the Seychelles, Air Seychelles will codeshare on airberlin’s domestic flights to selected cities in Germany, as well as Etihad Airways’ double-daily service between Düsseldorf and Abu Dhabi, provide a wealth of travel options.

The airline also has a codeshare partnership with Air France whereby guests can chose from multiple flight options from major cities in England to connect onto the non-stop Paris direct flights to the Seychelles. Double daily services from London and Manchester are also available with our partner Etihad Airways via Abu Dhabi.

The partnership with Scandinavian Airlines has additionally given more options to guests travelling from Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm to connect onto the Air Seychelles nonstop flights either via Düsseldorf or Paris to the Paradise islands of the Seychelles.

The timing of the departure flights from Dusseldorf and Paris to the Seychelles has been carefully timed. Guests can fall asleep and wake up completely refreshed, ready to discover the many treasures of the Seychelles islands.

In addition to capturing point-to-point traffic flows Seychelles as a hub within the Indian Ocean le gives guests from Düsseldorf and Paris as well as international travellers seamless connections over the Seychelles to other destinations across the airline’s network including Durban, Mauritius, Johannesburg and Antananarivo within one to three hours.

On 30 March 2017, Air Seychelles also deepened its ties in South African with the launch of a twice weekly nonstop flight to South Africa’s port city of Durban an important trade hub and home to over three million people.

Operated on Thursdays and Saturdays, the Durban service is now the airline’s second route in South African complementing the existing five-a-week service to Johannesburg. Air Seychelles also has a codeshare agreement with South African Airways offering guests one-stop connections from Seychelles to Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, East London and Durban through Johannesburg.

Operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft in a two-cabin configuration, the new Durban service provides business as well as leisure travellers who have trade ties to the Seychelles or holiday on the islands with more travel choice and convenience.

The Durban flight schedule also offer seamless connectivity options to Düsseldorf, Paris, Mumbai and onwards to nine codeshare destinations in India over Seychelles including Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Cochin and Trivandrum.

In April 2016, Air Seychelles was awarded four prestigious accolades at the 2016 World Travel Awards, including the title of “Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline” for the second year running. In addition to winning the coveted title, the Seychelles-based airline was presented with awards for “Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline – Business Class”, “Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline – Economy Class” and “Indian Ocean’s Leading Cabin Crew”.
