The Hotel L’Archipel Praslin Seychelles
We are located in the north-east region of Praslin, the second largest island of the Seychelles, at the end of the famous Côte d’Or Bay. Our luxurious bungalows nestle in a colourful tropical hillside garden overlooking a lovely secluded beach – Anse Gouvernement. The hotel’s very own private beach is one of its most greatest attributes and is for the exclusive use of its guests, providing opportunities for swimming, snorkelling and, of course, soaking up the sun in stunning surroundings.
In addition to the amazing beach, the hotel’s magnificent gardens are perfectly manicured and feature meandering pathways and a wide selection of flowers, shrubs and trees which, in turn, provide a stunning backdrop for the 18 Deluxe rooms, five Superior rooms, seven Senior suites and two Family suites. With the aim of minimising our impact on the environment, we’ve made some important environmental improvements to our structure and practice green living.
Food
The two hotel restaurants are among the finest on Praslin Island. La Gigolette opens its large windows and terrace right on the beach and guests enjoy a soft breeze and a stunning ocean view while savouring delicious Creole or international dishes. Located on the first floor by the bar, La Feuille d’Or also offers a jaw-dropping panorama and a more secluded atmosphere, ideal for when the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor dining.
It’s not just the food that’s fresh as we like to keep our guests entertained with themed nights with live music entertainment.

Things to Do
There is plenty to keep you occupied around The Hotel L’Archipel. The Seychelles enjoys one of the most equitable climates on the planet and the year can be pretty much divided into two distinct seasons: The north-west trade winds blow from November through to March, bring much of the islands’ essential rainfall.
The south-east trade winds gently gust from May to September, providing cooler temperatures and more lively seas – absolutely perfect for sailing. The intervening months are normally periods of warmer weather and calm seas, the ideal environment for swimming, diving and snorkelling, getting in a boat and exploring the ocean. The hotel’s boat, Lady Caroline, takes guests on fishing trips and a wide range of excursions to neighbouring islands.
Our team of experts
Our helpful and knowledgeable staff will only be too pleased to assist you in organising your water sports, deep-sea and bottom fishing, and diving excursions and island-hopping expeditions to neighbouring islands.
The Hotel L’Archipel water sports centre also provides canoes, snorkelling and paddleboard equipment free of charge to its guests and available facilities also includes two boats: Lady Caroline, a powerboat for up to 16 passengers, the ideal vessel in which to discover the surrounding islands in comfort, whether on fishing trips, scenic cruises or romantic excursions. And, we also have the Makwa, a smaller boat intended for short fishing trips.
Praslin Island
Praslin Island offers a host of attractions to enjoy during your stay, including a number of world-class beaches, including Anse Lazio. Maybe a stroll along the fairways is more your thing? Try 18 holes on the nearby championship golf course at the Lemuria Resort, or wander around the site believed to be the biblical Garden of Eden at Vallée de Mai. For the more energetic, the Praslin Heritage Route and Pirate Treasure Trail will keep your feet and eyes occupied while a trip to Black Pearl Farm Gallery, about 40km north-east of the capital Mahe, is a fascinating mixture of a hatchery, raceways, a jewellery workshop and jewellery boutique. And don’t forget the Praslin Museum and Fond Ferdinand, for an out-of-this-world experience of nature.
Getting here
Praslin is serviced by regular Air Seychelles domestic flights from Mahé, and by the Cat Cocos fast catamaran ferry, operating daily. You can also charter a helicopter via Zilair, the local helicopter company and the hotel can arrange transfers between the airport or jetty and the hotel, for a small fee.
